The North Carolina Courts. Special Guest: Turron

In this episode, we take a deeper look at the issue of North Carolina's disproportionate incarceration of people of color. Statistics show that Black and Hispanic individuals are more likely to be arrested, convicted, and sentenced to longer prison terms than their white counterparts. We hear from community members and advocates who are working to address systemic racism and bias within the criminal justice system. We also explore potential solutions, such as investing in alternatives to incarceration and implementing fairer sentencing guidelines.
